Frivolous Picks Week 3

Coming off another 7-3 week with a net gain of $400. This means there is $1700 in the FP Account. I’m going to stay with $1000 this week, and go $100 each game. It’s easier to keep track that way.

#3 LSU –3.5 @ #25 Mississippi State – I watched MSU lose to Auburn last Saturday. Haven’t seen LSU. Guess I go with a home underdog. Mississippi State with the points. $100

Tennessee +9.5 @ Florida – For some reason I grew up watching this game even though I grew up in Kansas. I remember a wild party in college surrounding this game. Each year I try and catch some of it. But I will be going to Manhattan on Saturday so I will have to miss it. It’s a relevant match up most years. Florida to cover. $100

Kent State +17.5 @ Kansas State – I will be at this game so I put it in the rotation. The Wildcats didn’t even score 17 points in their first game.
Kent State with the points. $100

#17 Ohio State +3 @ Miami (FL) – The Probation Bowl! Wonder if Nevin Shapiro gets ESPN in prison? I had to double check this. Ohio State is the underdog? I get nervous when lines look too easy. But I’m going to bite anyway. Ohio State and the points. $100

#1 Oklahoma -3 @ #5 Florida State – This will be the game I’m DVRing. I’ll probably watch it while the Chiefs are losing on Sunday. I like to pick home underdogs. But I think I’m going with.. Oklahoma to cover. $100

NFL:

Kansas City +7 @ Detroit – After last week I can’t see the Chiefs covering. Detroit to cover. $100

Tampa Bay +2.5 @ Minnesota – Almost a pick ‘em. Hmm Tampa Bay and the points. $100

Chicago +7 @ New Orleans – I like the Bears to win outright. But I don’t have to do that. The just have to cover. Chicago with the points. $100

San Diego +5.5 @ New England – The Chargers have a habit laying eggs on the east coast. New England to cover. $100

Philadelphia +1.5 @ Atlanta – Almost a pick ‘em. Philadelphia has a slight advantage. Plus they’re the “dream team” Philadelphia and the points. $100

Those are the picks. I keep waiting to have a disastrous week. Maybe I won’t have one.
